Sustainable Goals

17 Goals to Transform Our World

The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and enviromental protection. More important than ever, the goals provide a critical framework for COVID-19 recovery.

We at Bancore believe in having an active role towards achieving these Sustainable Goals to transform the world for the better for everybody.

This for Bancore means a focus on equal pay, gender equality and working towards Financial Inclusion for everybody which we believe will lead to reducing poverty and create a decent work environment and economic growth.

With Bancore anybody can open an account and receive a prepaid Mastercard, and then send and receive money globally. Combined with access to traditional banking and insurance services that will provide improved life support for our business partners and their consumers.

Bancore plays a pro-active role in helping to reach 5 of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), that will heighten life quality, not only of the poor, but also of wealthy inhabitants of developing nations. Here is a summary of Bancore’s contributions towards reaching those objectives:

SDG 1

No poverty

Bancore will ease the money flow between nations, enterprises, and individuals at much lower transaction costs, thereby helping to increase standards of living

SDG 3

Good health and well-being

Bancore customers’ ability to send and receive small amounts and installments means that, for instance, health insurance can be made available to vast number of consumers, and Bancore is already helping Allianz Nigeria set up a suitable system for collecting small, weekly premiums

SDG 8

Decent work and economic growth

Bancore’s capacity to handle payroll for large companies results in transparent HR policies and fair and timely payment of employees

SDG 9

Industry, innovation, infrastructure

A major piece of African infrastructure is currently missing, i.e. efficient interbank switching and payments, similar to the European SWIFT. Bancore will introduce fast lane money movement for all African interbank transactions and has already connected with 800 banks

SDG 10

Reduced inequality

Bancore was founded in Denmark, known for its social and economic equality, and Bancore’s efforts in Africa will significantly improve living standards and reduce economic inequality

With Bancore’s help, everybody can have a virtual bank account and a prepaid Mastercard on their phone screens, and immediately send and receive money globally – combined with access to traditional banking services and insurance coverage that provides a much needed safety net for all involved.
