Why invest in Bancore?

“The not so secret thought processes of a private, occasional investor”

November 2019

Everybody – whether an institutional or private investor – is looking for the next “unicorn”, where you will net millions, because you saw the opportunity early enough – and acted on it, because you don’t get rich through hindsight!

But if even professional investors often get it wrong, how does a private and usually much smaller investor have a chance of getting it right? As an example, here are some reasons why an investment in Bancore made sense to the writer of this piece:

  1. “Payments” , just like drinking water, is an industry that will always exist and flourish, the reason being that, whether good times or bad, bills and salaries will be paid, and remittances from relatives abroad will be sent – perhaps smaller amounts when times are bad, but the number of transactions will not drop by much.
  2. Many commercial transactions are rapidly going online, including monetary ones, resulting in retail closures and whole high streets disappearing, including brick and mortar banks.
  3. Tech developments have improved the versatility and range of applications for mobile phones, that are increasingly handling functions that may just recently have required a laptop. This is especially true in emerging markets, where consumers have in the past 5 years moved from being cut off from the outside world to being fully “financially included”, including access to e-commerce product offerings, online banking and payments, instalment purchases and healthcare coverage.

All of the above are taken for granted in the developed world, but are completely new services for the more than 2 billion “unbanked” consumers in the world who in most cases have only recently become owners of (semi)smartphones.

Who is the only company in the world that ticks all the boxes?

BANCORE – a mobile payments company that facilitates any kind of B2B and B2C transaction, financially includes all participants while offering an associated and expanding MarketPlace where consumers in emerging markets will be able to buy products and services like solar cell panels, health insurance and many more.

THIS IS WHY THE WRITER OF THIS SECTION HAS COMMITTED A MAJOR PART OF HIS INVESTMENT BUDGET TO A SHARE IN BANCORE’S EQUITY – YOU MAY WANT TO DO THE SAME!
